Bertram properties mostly want two things from us: an outdoor room worth the view, and a landscape that does not need a sprinkler running twice a day to stay alive. Both come from the same crew on the same estimate, which matters more out here than it does in a subdivision — coordinating three contractors across a county line is nobody's idea of a project.
West of Liberty Hill the limestone gets closer to the surface and the soil gets thinner, and Bertram is where that becomes the whole story. Beds need soil brought in and prepared; turf is a losing battle across a large lot; and the plants that thrive are the Texas natives and adapted species that were already growing here — planted in properly amended beds under deep mulch, on drip irrigation set for the way it actually rains.
The rock is also the material. Chopped limestone and flagstone patios, stone fire pits with curved seat walls, outdoor kitchens in natural Texas stone: on Hill Country ground these look like they were always there, and they hold up to the freeze-thaw and the heat better than anything poured. Decomposed granite paths and limestone edging tie the built parts to the land, and a dry creek bed handles the runoff a storm sends down a slope.
Bigger lots mean fencing that has to run over uneven ground — ornamental iron, welded steel and powder-coated metal, with custom gates — and irrigation with longer runs and more zones, diagnosed by a Texas Licensed Irrigator so it is not quietly wasting water. And the evenings are the reason most people move out here: a fire pit facing the view is the project we get asked for most.

Bertram isn't in Williamson County. Do you still come out?
Yes. Bertram is just over the Burnet County line on Highway 29, past Liberty Hill, and it is inside the area we work. It is the westernmost town we serve, so for a very small job we may say so up front, but patios, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, fencing, xeriscaping and irrigation work in Bertram are all normal for us. The estimate is free and starts with walking the property.
What landscaping and masonry services do you offer in Bertram?
Everything we do, we do in Bertram: landscape design and installation, xeriscaping and zeroscaping, lawn replacement, irrigation repair, landscape maintenance, stone, flagstone, paver and concrete patios, outdoor kitchens, fire pits and outdoor fireplaces, pergolas, and metal and iron fencing.
